Under the leadership of Dr. Tim Brimmer since 1994, Butler University's "Jordan Jazz" promotes vocal jazz awareness through education and entertainment. Membership to Jordan Jazz is open to all Butler students, which allows the ensemble to be comprised of students from all colleges across campus. Jordan Jazz has worked with jazz greats Manhattan Transfer, John Pizzarelli, Bobby McFerrin, Marvin Hamlisch, Elvis Costello, Rocapella and New York Voices. The group has also performed throughout the USA, Brazil, Hong Kong, Jamaica and on cruise ships visiting countries throughout the West Indies. This summer, Jordan Jazz will host Butler's Vocal Jazz Camp (June 5-10) then return to Hong Kong to headline the International Jazz Educators Conference (July 4-15).
